Q1: What is Lymphatic EDU and what makes it unique?

A: Lymphatic EDU is a specialized recovery and education center offering post-surgical lymphatic drainage, wellness programs, and CEU-approved training for professionals. We combine evidence-based techniques with education and networking to serve both clients and practitioners in Louisiana.

Q2: Where are you located and do you serve people outside Louisiana

A: This is an online network, resourse, and connection platform. Providers are both online and in-person. Clients receive homecare consultations and, self-help classes, plus CEU courses for LMTs and professionals nationwide.

Q3: Who can benefit from your services?

A: Clients we serve:

  • Post-surgical patients (cosmetic or medical).
  • Individuals with swelling, inflammation, from surgical edema cosmetic & plastic surgeries or lymphedema.
  • Wellness clients seeking detox, immune support, or better circulation.
  • Anyone looking to improve lymphatic health.

Q4: How does lymphatic recovery help after surgery?

A: Benefits for clients include:

  • Reduced swelling and bruising.
  • Faster healing.
  • Improved comfort and mobility.
  • Lower risk of fibrosis, seromas, and infection.

Q5: Is lymphatic therapy only for people who’ve had surgery?

A: No. Lymphatic therapy can help boost immunity, reduce water retention, support detoxification, and improve circulation for overall wellness.

Q6: Do I need a referral from my doctor?

A: If you have no serious underlying medical conditions - No referral is required. However, we do recommend notifying your healthcare provider if you’re receiving post-surgical care, have other heart or pulmonary conditions. 

Q7: Are there any health conditions where lymphatic drainage is not recommended?

A: Yes—MLD should be avoided with:

  • Acute infections.
  • Untreated blood clots (DVT).
  • Uncontrolled heart failure.
  • and other Diagnosis
  • Certain active cancers without physician clearance.

Q8: What should I expect during my first appointment?

A: Your first visit includes:

  • A health and lifestyle assessment.
  • A customized recovery or wellness plan.
  • Gentle, targeted lymphatic drainage techniques.
  • Various other modality methods can apply based on your specific needs. 

Q9: How many sessions will I need?

A: Post-surgical: Often 2–3 per week for the first few weeks.

  • Wellness: Once or twice a month for maintenance.
  • Your plan will be customized for you.

Q10: What should I wear and how should I prepare?

A: Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Post-surgical clients should bring or wear any compression garments. Stay hydrated and avoid heavy meals, alcohol, or skin lotions before your session.

Q11: Do you accept insurance?

A: We do not bill insurance directly. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your provider.

Q12: What CEU training programs do you offer?

A: We offer approved CEU courses covering:

  • Post-surgical lymphatic drainage.
  • Edema management.
  • Clinical assessment for recovery care.
  • Lymphatic system anatomy and physiology.

Q13: Are your CEU courses state board-approved?

A: Yes. Our programs meet Louisiana Board of Massage Therapy CEU requirements and are structured to align with many other states.

Q14: How can I register for a CEU course?

A: Visit our Courses page, select your desired class, and register online. Confirmation and course details are sent immediately.

Q15: Do you offer both in-person and online CEU training?

A: Yes—we offer:

  • In-person workshops in Louisiana.
  • Live virtual classes via Zoom.
  • On-demand, self-paced courses.

Q16: Do I need prior experience to enroll?

A: Some courses are open to all licensed wellness providers; others require an LMT license. Prerequisites are listed on each course page.

Q17: Can I join your professional directory?

A: Yes—our National Lymphatic & Wellness Directory is a free listing for licensed practitioners, CEU providers, and wellness clinics.

Q18: Do you offer business or marketing training for practitioners?

A: Yes. Many CEU courses include modules on pricing, packaging, marketing to post-surgical clients, and building referral networks. Contact us for support and collaboration.
